A few years ago, I made it a habit to send holiday cards during this time of the year – to celebrate different traditional occasions in December (Christmas, Hanukkah, Yalda, Eid ul Adha, Maunajiyaras, Anniversary of death of Zoroaster) and to celebrate the new year.

I usually send them to friends, but I also send a few more to others, whom I suggest you mail to as well:

  • Canadian Soldiers

These brave servicemen and servicewomen are away from their homes and their families, and yet the are the ones who deserve a well rested holiday the most.

Here are three different addresses you can mail to:

    OP ATHENA
    PO BOX 5058 STN FORCES
    BELLEVILLE ON K8N 5W6
    CANADA

    Provincial Reconstruction Team
    OP ATHENA
    PO BOX 5005 STN FORCES
    BELLEVILLE ON K8N 5W6
    CANADA

    OP ACCIUS, ARCHER and ARGUS
    KABUL 100
    PO BOX 5058 STN FORCES
    BELLEVILLE ON K8N 5W6
    CANADA

You can find other addresses at the National Defence and the Canadian Forces’ Addresses for Overseas Operations.

  • United States soldiers

The world tends to look down on America’s soldiers. Yet remember that when someplace in the world needs international intervention, it’s the American soldiers who are first to liberate, to provide aid, and to give up their lives for the prosperity of the people in need of help.

America is the greatest country in the world. I can only wonder how the world would be without this mighty nation. Let’s stop the anti-Americanism that seems to pervade our country. They’re our friends, our family, our trade partners, and our combat partners.

    Please mail to:

    A MILLION THANKS
    17853 SANTIAGO BLVD, #107-355
    VILLA PARK CA 92861
    UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

  • Sick Children

The S.A.Y. Detroit Family Health Clinic is a free 24-hour clinic for homeless children and their mothers. They accept holiday cards to sick children.

    Please mail to:

    ATTN: MS. YVONNE HARPER
    S.A.Y. FAMILY CLINIC
    211 GLENDALE
    HIGHLAND PARK MI 48203
    UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

  • Fathima Rifqa Bary

Fathima is 17-year-old girl who converted from Islam to Christianity. As a result, her father has threatened to kill her and her family planned to send her from their home in Columbus, Ohio to Sri Lanka to be ‘rehabilitated’ or honor killed. Instead, this brave soul escaped her family and is now under the care of the Columbus authorities. She’s been undergoing a lot of psychological abuse, as her family and CAIR lawyers are trying to prevent her from seeing fellow Christians, and have gone out of their way to malign her as being brainwashed by a ‘cult’ (as though that’s an excuse to threaten her or send her to Sri Lanka).

Please send her a Christmas card at:

    MS. RIFQA BARY
    C/O ANGELA LLOYD
    255C DRINKO HALL
    55 WEST 12TH AVE
    COLUMBUS OH 43210

Pamela from Atlas Shrugs is doing a fantastic job keeping everyone posted on Rifqa and informing of upcoming rallies.

  • Kareem Amer

Kareem is an Egyptian serving jail time for expressing views critical of Mubarak and of Islam – on his personal blog.

You can read details on how to mail him here.

  • Happy holidays to all!
